Warren has been a music teacher for over 30 years and recently retired from teaching from the Camas School District. He is currently living in Holywell Row, just outside of Mildenhall England. He graduated from Whitworth College in 1985 and continued his education through Seattle Pacific University where he completed his Orff Levels courses I, II, and III. He has also completed World Music Drumming levels one and two.

He has presented throughout Washington State at AOSA local chapters, WMEA and Arts-Time Conferences. Warren presented at the 2006 and 2008 AOSA National Conferences. He has presented all day workshops for the Idaho, Wyoming (twice), San Diego, St. Louis, North Florida, Sioux Valley, Green Country Oklahoma Orff Chapters and for the Wyoming MENC State Conference. He has presented at the NAfME Northwest Conference several times
